Catholic News Service: Children in the Gaza Strip fear that it is too dangerous for Santa’s visit

I just finished reading a piece from the Catholic News Service describing the disappointment of Gaza’s children that Santa won’t be visiting this Christmas. Further, as in Bethlehem, many Christmas festivities have been cancelled. No traditional Christmas tree stands in Gaza Square as in years past.

How ironic that in the land of Christ’s birth and the genesis of Christianity, Christmas celebrations, because of Israel’s and the West’s relentless attack on all Palestinians, have all but been muted out.
